Thanks to the Royal Wedding, the Brits are now enjoying a four-day weekend which started last Friday and will end today. ( Labor Day observance). The Royal Wedding is really a big deal for some people but there are also others who want to stay as far away from the whole thing as they can.
I happen to belong to a family who appreciates the British Monarchy. Mom isn't just a huge fan of the late Princess Di but she also had this huge crush on Prince William when she was a teenager. (Shhhh) Dad, on the other hand, has many British friends at work making him really curious for all things British. As expected, we watched the rerun of the Royal Wedding together.
Watching the W&K Wedding makes me believe that Cinderella stories do happen in real life. Although in reality, Kate was far from being Cinderella because her dad is a millionaire. Still, the commoner and royalty love affair- kind of thing is very much like a fairy tale.
Anyway, becoming a princess is every little girl's dream. So today, I will try to be an ordinary little hopeful. Yesterday's dream of becoming a Dentist/Astronaut/Chef must be put aside for another day....coz today, I want to be a Princess!
My way of giving a nod to the festivities last Friday--
playing English Tea party with my fave baby doll.
Cheers to you, Will and Kate!
